The Afghanistan National Liberty Party (ANLP), recognizing its historical and national responsibility toward the people of Afghanistan, firmly believes that the future of the country depends on an inclusive participation of all social groups and ethnic communities. The party has consistently strived to create an environment where the silent voices of the nation’s vital majority are heard, ensuring collective participation based on the principle of equal citizenship rights in shaping a democratic and just political system.
The party’s guiding principles are founded on the rejection of any instrumental use of religion, the revival of a citizen-centric system rooted in the values of freedom and fundamental rights, meritocracy, and the rejection of all forms of discrimination, prejudice, and extremism.
We believe that committed youth, courageous women, true scholars, unsung mujahideen, former military personnel, compassionate intellectuals, local elders, and other active segments of society represent the driving force for meaningful change in Afghanistan and play a central role in building a brighter future for the nation.
While the Afghanistan National Liberty Party respects the position and efforts of all political, social, and civil organizations, including the National Coalition for the Salvation of Afghanistan, the party’s leadership council, after thorough deliberation, has concluded that its political vision and approaches are not fully aligned with the coalition’s framework in certain key areas. Accordingly, it has been decided that the Afghanistan National Liberty Party, while maintaining respect for all coalition members, will not participate in this alliance. This decision is hereby formally communicated to the citizens of Afghanistan.
This decision has been made to safeguard the political independence of the ANLP and to strengthen initiatives that emphasize the effective participation of all citizens, particularly influential and active segments of society. The party believes that Afghanistan is in historical need of new coalitions aligned with the ideals of democracy, justice and equal rights for all citizens.
Our message to all segments of Afghanistan society is that the ANLP is a home for everyone—a place where ideas, talents, and efforts are united to build a nation free from discrimination, prejudice, extremism and corruption. A country where every citizen feels a sense of ownership, freedom, and dignity.
